We arrived safe and sound and on time in Lima, Peru!! The flight from Miami was the bumpiest flight most of us had ever been on but we're safe, sound, loving Jesus and happy. We also thank the Lord that all of our bags but one arrived with us. Our last bag which was filled with tools is suppose to be delivered by 8 am to the orphanage.
After a midnight stop for snacks at a gas station and a quick Dunkin Doughnut or two, we arrived at the orphanage, unpacked, had a brief meeting and went to bed. Thanks for the many prayers!! We'll write more later.

What an incredible day!! It was early morning before most of us went to bed and it was just a few hours later that the roosters were crowing!!! Much of the group began working before 7 am and were ready for breakfast when the pancakes, bacon, and fruit were served a couple of hours later. The group worked all day building forty pews for the church auditorium, laying brick and pouring concrete for the new missionary intern dormitory. The day was long, the weather was nice and cool, and the fellowship of fellow believers working together serving our Savior was unforgettable. You will see a small glimpse of our efforts in the pictures below. Thanks for your prayers for our safety and the Lord's Blessing.

Today could best be described as life changing!! What we saw and experienced touched our hearts in such a way that we are truly a different people. The morning began again by the welcoming sounds of roosters crowing. Before long it was time for breakfast which consisted of eggs, ham, rolls, and potatoes. Later we headed out to the local market where you can get just about anything. We passed out hundreds of tracts in a matter of minutes.
We enjoyed a great lunch at Pizza Hut before heading off to the government run orphanage. There we met approximately twenty young ladies who have experienced abuse more severe than we can imagine. We loaded them down with goodies before sharing the gospel through numerous testimonies. It was amazing to watch the girls as the testimonies were given and see their many tears running down their cheeks as well as the tears running down our own cheeks. When the invitation was given, every hand went up to accept Jesus as Savior.
Running late from the orphanage, we missed many of the military personnel we were supposed to meet. We did get the joyous experience of practicing jumping out of an airplane from a five story building which was . . . breathtaking!! After this memorable experience we were able to share the gospel with the guys assisting us and once again, they all accepted Christ as Savior. From the military base we did some shopping, eating, and then headed back to the orphanage to move pews to the church before heading off to bed tired and yet fired up about Jesus!! Thanks for your prayers.
